This antique half collar is entirely hand sewn together of netting lace edgings and insertion, Irish crotchet lace and cotton netting with vertical threads. It was cleaned in a sodium perborate solution and is an off-white color with the Irish crotchet lace more ivory in color. There is one small hole in the cotton netting, and shows some wear around the outer edge of the sides and top. This would be perfect for a collarless blouse from shoulder to shoulder, and also ideal for period costuming.
The measurements are about 5 3/4" deep and almost 19" across from bottom point to bottom point, and dates from the early 1900's.
